Still it&#8217;s a great time of the year to enjoy the outdoors. You&#8217;ll find that outdoor activities will keep you very warm and your body will burn more calories just to make that happen. I&#8217;ve split wood at -20F wearing a t-shirt and jeans. I was continually on the verge of sweating, but never did. I&#8217;ve cross-country skied many places in the hills of Wisconsin and the mountains of Montana and Oregon. Believe me, cross country skiing will keep you warm &#8211; you&#8217;ll want to carry a pack just to have a place to store the extra outer wear you thought you needed as you set off.
