Winter Camping

If you are snowbound in the winter, it’s time to get out and go camping!  Today,  I’d like to share with you a couple videos that give a realistic view of what you can expect when snowshoeing and winter camping in the wilderness.

Sioux Hustler Trail

In these videos a character called Shug takes us along as he and some friends trek along the Sioux Hustler Trail in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area in far northern Minnesota. Here’s a trail map that will give you an idea of what they are doing.  Shug references some of the points you can see on the map.  Click the map for a larger, PDF version.  To get another view try the Google Maps version.
